Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival - Hanoi - Good morning Vietnam

You are welcome and transferred to your hotel in town by the guide from Vietnam Bamboo Travel. Dinner at your own.  Stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi city tour - Lao Cai (B, L) - by train

After Breakfast. Discover Hanoi history and culture & people and get some more shocks of the culture. This tour draws to: the Ho Chi Minh complex including Mausoleum, stilt house, Temple of literature, Museum of Ethnology, Tran Quoc Pagoda and west lake with lunch and dinner at your own then back to the Old Quarter for some more exploration. and Water puppet show 4.00 pm. Night train to Lao Cai. Stay overnight on train.

Day 3: Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van (B, L, D) Villages

A local guide  will pick you up at Lao Cai Station . After having breakfast at local restaurant. Visit Y Linh ho, Lao Chai and Ta Van villages of the H’mong and the Dzay minorities. After lunch at a local family in Ta Van, we keep on hiking around the village of the Dzay & H’mong where we stay overnight in a local family for you to get to know their daily life of the local people: work, custom, embroideries, clothes... Dinner at local family. Stay overnight at homestay.

.Day 4: Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai - Su Pan - Ban Ho (B, L, D)

After having breakfast in home stay, we continue to discover Giang Ta Chai village, then Su Pan villages of the red Dzao minority. After picnic lunch, we keep on hiking to Ban Ho, the village lies within a beautiful valley, home to the Tay minority people who have their traditional house on stilts. Dinner at local family and Overnight at home stay.

Day 5: Ban Ho - Nam Toong - Sapa - Lao Cai - Hanoi (B, L, D) - by train

Breakfast at homestay. 2km walking to a very nice waterfall discovered and named “the Lavie” by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam. Enjoy swimming then go up to the mountain to visit a small hamlet of the Red Dzao people called Nam Toong, then get back to Ban Ho before get to Sapa by jeep. Get yourself fresh with a shower in the hotel’s day room before transfer down to Lao Cai Station for the night train back to Hanoi. Stay overnight on train.

Day 6: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D)
08:00 Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi. Drive to Halong Bay. Enjoy the peaceful scenery as we travel through the countryside, farmlands and Red River delta.
10:30 Stopover on the way for short break
12:30 Arrive at Hon Gai wharf – Meet the captain, crews and join us for a welcome drink, cruise briefing, safety instructions and check-in cabin.
13:00 Lunch with fresh seafood is served while cruising towards Vong Vieng floating village, passing through extraordinary shaped-islands.
15:30 Drop anchor at Vong Vieng: visit local houses, fish farm, schools and have a chat with the friendly fish men. (You also swim here if you like) The other option is to travel by kayak (passengers row kayaks for themselves).
17:00 Back on board, enjoy the sunset and continue cruising to Luom Bo for anchoring.
19:00 Dinner is served.
21:00 Enjoy the comfort in your cabin or night fishing… and overnight on cruise.

 

 
Day 7: Halong Bay (B, L, D)

06:30 Enjoy the bay’s morning landscape with a cup of tea or coffee.
07:00 Breakfast is served.
08:00 Transfer by tender to the “Day Boat” for further cruising. Tour guide on board will give you to some untouched areas for interesting activities.
13:00 Lunch is served on board and relaxes times
14:30 Continue kayaking to Bat Cave and explore the Natural World Heritage in your style.
16:00 Cruise back to Cruise.
19:00 Dinner is served.
21:00 Leisure time to enjoy a chat around the bar or enjoy night fishing and overnight on cruise.

Day 8: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B)

06:30 Enjoy the bay’s morning landscape with a cup of tea or coffee.
07:30 Lightly breakfast is served.
08:30 Explore the mystery of Sung Sot cave, one of the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay.
09:30 Back on board, continue cruising, enjoy the stunning views of the Bay and relax.
10:30 Lunch is served on board while cruising back through Halong Bay to the pier.

12:00 Arrive Hon Gai wharf. Farewell.
12:30 Return from Halong to Hanoi.
14:30 Stop-over in Dong Trieu town to visit a ceramics workshop.

Day 9: Hanoi - Hue (B) - by flight

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Noi Bai airport for domestic flight to Phu Bai in the morning. Upon arriving in Hue. After having lunch at your own. Free leisure for your own time for rolling at local market for shopping. Dinner at your own. Stay overnight in Hue.

Day 10: Than Phu - Ben Den - Hanoi (B, L, D)

Have breakfast. Enjoy an early morning boat ride on Perfume River to visit the Royal Tomb of Tu Duc King. Start visiting The Imperial Citadel - World Cultural Heritage and Thien Mu Pagoda, Dong ba market. Have lunch & Dinner at your own. Stay overnight in Hue.

Day 11: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D)

Transfer to Da Nang (the views from top of Hai Van Pass are excellent – you’ll be able to see Lang Co beach and the lagoon far below, and Da Nang spread out before you to the south). You’ll have a brief look at the remarkable Hindu statuary in the Cham Museum before leaving for Hoi An. Free time afterwards. Lunch &Dinner at your own and Stay overnight in Hoi An City.

Day 12: Hoi An - Walking tour in the ancient Town (B, L)

Breakfast at hotel then walk with your tour guide to visit around Hoi An: the old Tan Ky House, Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall. Shop for tailored made silk products or spend your time at the wonderful beach (4km away). Lunch at your own and enjoy a show of traditional arts of the Centre. Dinner at your own and  Stay overnight in Hoi An City.

Day 13: Hoi An - Da Nang - Saigon (B) - by flight

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for domestic flight to Sai Gon in the morning. Welcome at the airport on arrival in Saigon and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Lunch & Dinner at your own. Stay overnight in Saigon City.

Day 14: Saigon - Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)

Breakfast at hotel. Morning excursion to visit the famous Cu Chi Underground Tunnel which have become well-known worldwide as the symbol of Vietnamese bravery during wartime. Return to the city for discovering Sai Gon city…Dinner at your own. Stay overnight in Saigon City.

Day 15: Saigon City Tour (B)

Sightseeing around the city including History Museum, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, Ben Thanh market. Photo stops at famous tourist sites such as City Hall, Grand Theatre, Notre Dame Cathedral and Center Post Office. for half-day city tour in the afternoon visiting the War Remnants Hall and bustling Chinatown with Thien Hau Temple Lunch & Dinner at your own. Stay overnight in Saigon City. 

Day 16: Saigon - Vinh long - Can Tho (B, L)

Have breakfast at the hotel. Leave Saigon for Vinh Long. Visit farming activities and the riverine life of the Mekong Delta can be seen en route. Lunch at your own. Take a boat ride to the Cai Be floating market and then to Binh Hoa Phuoc Islet to discover the secrets of bonsai & orchard gardening. Onwards to Can Tho (40km). Dinner at your own. Stay overnight in Can Tho City.

Day 17: Can Tho - Chau Doc (B, L)

Enjoy an early morning boat ride on the Mekong River to the bustling Cai Rang & Phong Dien floating markets thronged with buyers and sellers moving around in boats laden with farm products. Taste seasonal fruit at a verdant orchard. Lunch at your own. Onwards to Chau Doc with a stop-over at Bang Lang Stork Sanctuary to view thousands of storks returning home at sunset. In the evening. Visit to Lady Temple, full of exciting legends. Dinner at your own. Stay overnight in Chau Doc City.

Day 18: Chau Doc - Phnom Penh (B, L) - by cruise

Leave Chau Doc to Phnom Penh in the morning by speed boat. Visa issued at the border. On arrival in Phnom Penh. Your excellence tour guide is waiting for pick up. Cold towel and pure drink water are available during the transfer. After your freshmen at a nice room. After that enjoy a tour to experience just a glimpse of Phnom Penh - the city retains its traditional Khmer and colonial charm. French villas along tree- lined boulevards remind the visitor that the city was once considered the gem of Southeast Asia. Firstly, visit Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda was build by King Norodom in 1866 inside its gleaming yellow walls are most conspicuous feature and impressive colorful Khmer style halls for the Royal Family, then visit silver pagoda, located in the compound of the Royal Palace. Inside it floor is constructed of 5000 silver tiles. In the center of the pagoda there is a magnificent 17th century emerald Buddha status made of baccarat crystal and its walls enclosing are covered with frescoes depicting episodes from the Khmer version of the Ramayana. It’s well worth popping in for browse then. Continue your visiting to Wat Phnom that is a hill in town set on top of a tree covered knoll 27m high. According to legend, the first pagoda on this site was erected in 1373 and actually it was rebuilt in 1434, 1806, 1894 and the most recently in 1922. visit National Museum of Cambodia is house in a graceful terracotta structure of traditional design (built in 1917 – 8 20)。Continue your visiting Visit Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21) a memorial and a testament to the madness of the Khmer Rouge regime, Toul Sleng Kept extensive records, leaving thousand of Photos of their victims. Lunch and dinner at your own. Overnight in Phnom penh.

Day 19: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap - Tonle Sap lake (B, L) - by flight

Breakfast in the hotel, transfer to airport to take the domestic morning flight to Siem Reap then pick up by local tour guide. check in then visit Tonle Sap lake: visit fishing villages to discover the standard of living of the people on the water and mangrove forest. Then re-take to Phnom Bakheng view sunset. Lunch at local restaurant. And dinner at your own. Overnight in Siem Riep

Day 20: Siem Reap - Rolous group & Small Circuit (B, L)

After have nice breakfast at the hotel, start visiting the In the Rolous group temple include with Lolei, Preah Kô, Bakong, that is an island temple consisting of four brick towers on a double late rite platform. Located in the center of the first large scale baray constructed by a khmer King. After lunch at your own, in the afternoon visit Small Circuit: Thommanun with some very nice walled-doors and stylized devata, Chau Say Tevoda, Takeo one of the first to be build out of sandstone, Ta Prohm invaded by the roots of giant baniyan, Banteay Kdei (Citadel of the Cells) used to be a religious monastery, Prasat Kravan with a unique bas-reliefs of bricks and Sras Srang used for ceremonies and royal baths. Then re-take to Phnom Bakheng view sunset. Dinner at your own. Stay overnight in Siem Riep City.

Day 21: Siem Reap - Angkor (B, L)

After breakfast at the hotel transfer to visit South Gate of Angkor Thom, the famous BayonTemple - built by Jayavarman VII at the end of the 12th, in the exact center of the city of Angkor Thom, Baphuon, Phimean Akas, Elephants and Leper King Terraces. Lunche at your own Afternoon visit Ta Prohm Temple then to discover Angkor Wat that is visually, architecturally and artistically breathtaking it is a massive three tiered pyramid crowned by five beehive-like tower rising 65 meter from ground level. Have a moat and exterior wall measuring 1300 x 1500 meters surround Angkor Wat. The temple it self is 1km square and consists of their levels surmounted by a central towel. The walls of the temple are covered inside and out with bas-reliefs and carving. Nearly 2000 distinctively rendered Apsara carving adorn the walls. Dinner at your own.

Day 22: Siem Reap (B)

Day 23: Siem Reap - Vientiane (B, L) - by flight

After having nice breakfast at the hotel, Free at leisure and transfer to airport for flight departure to Vientiane. Upon arrival at Wattay Airport, you will be met and transferred to your centrally located hotel where you will reside overnight. After a short rest, we begin our orientation - a short walking-tour of the Lao capital, strolling around the city sights and observing the evening sunset along the Mekong Riverside. You will be able to experience the city lifestyle of the local Lao people. Lunch & Dinner at your own way.

Day 24: Vientiane - Luang Prabang (B, L) - by flight

After breakfast, we embark upon a tour of the major sights of the capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket which contains thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, you will have the opportunity to take pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. From there, we visit the ‘Morning Market’, where one can find an array of antiquities, handmade textiles and gifts. The rest of the afternoon will be spent visiting the National Museum (close Tuesday), former Revolutionary Museum, which boasts a collection of antique items and the history of Laos’s fighters and leaders who were displaced from the ancient times through to the new revolution period. We then board a short flight to Luang Prabang, which is perhaps the best - preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. UNESCO registered Luang Prabang as a World Cultural Heritage City in 1995. The tranquility and charm of this city, with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Asia. On arrival, we transfer you to your hotel. After a short rest, we will stroll around the Night Market, where you will find a lovely selection of local handmade textiles. We then hike to the top of Mount Phousi for an exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa and the exasperating, beautiful panorama views of the sun setting over this once royal ancient city and the Mekong River. Lunch & Dinner at your own. You will stay overnight in Luang Prabang City.

Day 25: Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave (B, L)

After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour of the city’s oldest temple, Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai, Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low representing the classical architecture of Luang Prabang. We then embark on a boat journey upstream along the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. En route, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where the local speciality of rice wine is produced. On our return, we stop at the local villages of Ban Xiengmene and Ban Chan then continue to see the royal temple at Wat Longkhoun, which once belonged to the royal family near the Sackarine Caves. Once back in Luang Prabang city we take a short drive to Ban Phanom, well known for its hand weaving. Lunch & Dinner at your own. Overnight in Luang Prabang City.

Day 26: Luang Prabang - Waterfalls in Khouangsi (B, L)

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession. You will visit the morning Phosi Market where you will find dried buffalo skins, local teas and saltpeter among the many chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will have the opportunity to visit the local village of the Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, Hmong Village, Ban Ou, Laoloum Village, Ban Thapene and Khmu Village. After visiting the villages, we then drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfalls where you may wish cool off by splashing around in the turquoise pools or walk along the forest paths. We continue to Ban Phanom, another well-known weaving village and return to Luang Prabang by the late evening to observe the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath. Day 27: Luang Prabang - Lao Spirit Adventure - Luang Prabang (Elephant ride + rafting) (B, L)

A full day trip combining a rafting tour out of town with some sightseeing and an exciting elephant ride today to/from Tad Sae Waterfall (or alternative route in dry season). After pick up from your Hotel (8:30-9:00 a.m) we proceed to the Adventure and Elephant camp located 15 km out of town in the middle of unspoiled, natural green surroundings. After crossing the small river you are introduced to our Asian Elephants and venture on a 1hr - 1hr 30 mins scenic journey through forests, plantations and fields. This activity programe provides you with a breathtaking and unique experience as you make your way through the forests and along the Nam Khan River up to the waterfalls of Tad Sae. (In dry season we ride a village trail) After visiting the waterfall, lunch is served before a relaxing 30 minute rafting tour along the river back to the resort and then we return to Luang Prabang for civilization by sunset. Lunch & Dinner at your own. Overnight in Luang Prabang City.

Day 28: Luang Prabang - Departure (B)

After having nice breakfast at the hotel, Free at leisure and transfer to airport for flight departure.
